William M. Rowe, age 89 of Orient, died Monday, November 15, 2010 in Columbus Health Care. He was born August 30, 1921 in Parkersburg, W. VA. The son of the late Virgil and Byrd (McGill) Rowe.
Mr. Rowe was retired from Maintenance for The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rowe, Dec. 10, 2000.
He is survived by daughter Terrie (John) Ray of Orient; 3 grandchildren Jason (Anita) Ray, Jodie (Don) Wihl, and Julie (Jay) Palguta; 4 great grandchildren Jeffrey, Ashley, JP, and Jacob.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. James Blankenship officiating with the burial following in Bethel Cemetery. A military service will be performed at the gravesite by the Circleville Amvets Post #2256. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 4 – 7 p.m.
