William Smith

William Smith, age 69, of Glouster, formerly of Hilliard, passed away April 13, 2010. He retired from Franklin County Engineers Department after 25 years of service. He was a bartender for 10 years at the VFW Post 9866 in Jacksonville and was an avid hunter with love for the great outdoors. Preceded in death by son William Wayne Smith, Jr. Survived by daughter Helen J. Hopkins of Hilliard, son Todd E. (Martha) Smith of Hilliard and their mother Alberta Smith of Glouster, brother Larry Smith, sister Connie (Dana) Bookman, grandchildren Megan (Chris) Gossard, Samantha Smith and Nikki Hopkins, his soul mate Joyce Bickley and her children Jackie (Shawn) and Teresa (Becky) and grandchildren Courtney, Troy, Jessica and Kaylee. Family will receive friends 2-5 pm Sunday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 5 pm Sunday. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Jacksonville Post #9866.
