William Charles Undeutsch

October 6, 1925 — July 30, 2008

William C. Undeutsch PhD of Upper Arlington, born October 6, 1925, passed peacefully, after a valiant battle with Parkinsons, on July 30, 2008 to be with his Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Dr. Undeutsch is survived by his loving wife Josepha K. (nee Fischer,) his son William (Trish) Undeutsch; daughters Barbara (Kevin) Arnold, Susanna Thibault and Mary (Michael) Downs; grandchildren Sandee (Mike) Cromlish, Rose and Lori Undeutsch; Ben, Tim, David, Peter and Rebecca Arnold; John, Joseph and Sam Downs; great grandchildren Michael and Sarah Cromlish; and sister Mary Petkiewytsch of Cincinnati. Preceded in death by father, Wilhelm Karl and mother, Susie Undeutsch Swartz (nee Böhm) and sister, Sue Quigley. William grew up in Hamilton, OH, attended the University of Cincinnati, receiving BS and Masters degrees, University of Delaware PhD. US Navy veteran, WWII, Pacific Theater. Over 30 years of service with Chemical Abstracts Service of Columbus. Member long-standing Saint Andrew Catholic Church. Bill loved life, plants, and animals and was an avid gardener. We’ll all miss him. We want to thank Bill’s friends and caregivers, Trish, Kim, Angie, Patsy, Rhonda, Candy, Carol, Jean Marie and nurse, Mary U. for their loving care. Family will receive friends Friday 6-8 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St Hilliard. Mass of Christian burial Saturday 10 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church 1899 McCoy Rd in Upper Arlington with Father Joseph Yokum celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Reach Hospice or Central Ohio Parkinson Society. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.
