Wilmer Thomas “Tom” Crook, age 64, of Columbus, passed away October 28, 2011. . He was a faithful steward of the blessings he had been given and a strong warrior against the challenges he had been dealt. All who knew Tom Crook knew him to be a loving, dedicated and good man. Tom was a graduate of Malone University, Canton, OH and retired as a teacher from Hilliard City Schools with 30 years of service. Preceded in death by father Charles Crook. Survived by loving wife of 41 years Jessie Bailey Crook, mother Virginia Crook, sisters Nancy (Roger) Herman and Nina (Randy) Colian, nephews and nieces, Jon (Kim) Herman, Becky (John) Willis, Sarah (Andy) Schmidt, Hannah (John) McFarland, Molly Colian and Scott Colian, 8 great nieces and nephews and numerous loving relatives and friends; including Jessie’s Bailey family. The Crook and Bailey families will receive friends Monday, October 31, 2011 from 1-3 pm at Life in Christ Fellowship Church, 550 St. Rt. 142 N.E., PO BOX 52, West Jefferson, OH 43162; where a Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 pm Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life in Christ Fellowship Church or Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 8200 Immokalee Rd., Naples, FL 34119.
